Grand Turk
This reproduction wooden sailing vessel was running pleasure cruises from Barrow docks this week. They tell it's authentic in every detail, and my Italian fare who I dropped nearby said "hey they is crazy they fire the blinking cannons alda dam time"

Paris?
For some bizarre reason the tenement flats on Barrow Island reminded me of the boulevards in the suburbs of Paris today. Maybe it was the customers of the pavement caf'e and the long straight tree lined avenue. Never mind that it's the road to the docks and the diners are the boozers outside their local, the Devonshire Arms from which the flats take their name.
