Harding Rise
Barrow,s newest road "Harding Rise" opens in a week or two. I wonder where the name comes from?

A mid 1800s tithe map of the area showns a file named "Harding Flat" in the approximate location of the new road. Since the new road is anything but flat, and has a 30ft different in level from bottom to top, the name Harding Rise was suggested by the Senior Project Manager from Barrow Regeneration, and was approved by Barrow Borough Council.
